FREELAND 35, JOHN GLENN 14

John Glenn came up empty in its quest for a big win in a big game, falling to No. 9-ranked Freeland 35-14.

The Bobcats (4-3, 3-3) were looking to make a move in the Tri-Valley Conference Red this season but are saddled with fourth place.

“Another tough loss,” Glenn coach Jon Horton said. “We continue to struggle with penalties and turnovers in big games. We won’t win many doing that.”

Garrett Hilborn piled up some tough yards for Glenn, churning out 112 yards on 17 carries and getting in the end zone on a 34-yard dash. Blake Francis caught an 8-yard TD toss for the Bobcats.
