EUGENE, Ore. - Seven people are facing burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary charges after Eugene Police served a search warrant at an Airbnb along the 2400 block of Skyline Boulevard in Eugene.

This comes after a shelter-in-place alert was triggered during the evening hours of Thursday, October 9th, to the surrounding neighborhoods. Residents took to social media wondering about the alert.

According to EPD chief Chris Skinner, in a one-on-one interview with KEZI, the alert was sent out to neighbors after all seven suspects in the home fled the scene after police arrived on Thursday night.
