A police presence remains at the scene of a huge fire which spread through a home in Middlesbrough .

As reported, the blaze broke out at the terraced house in Percy Street , in the Gresham area, at around 9pm on Friday, October 10. Emergency services were at the scene for several hours.

A cordon was set up by the fire service as crew members dealt with the incident. A police officer remains at the scene on Saturday morning as the house remains taped off.

Four fire engines could be seen on the street, along with police and ambulance teams, on Friday night. A Cleveland Fire Brigade spokesperson said crews from Middlesbrough and Grangetown stations attended the incident after being called at 8.57pm.
