BAMBERG — Local and state officials celebrated the ribbon-cutting for Circular Composite Solutions in Bamberg, which makes industrial shipping pallet components.
The company is planning to invest $53.7 million and create 70 new jobs at the former Rockland Industries building at 252 Calhoun Street. Rockland closed about four years ago. "This is more than just a $50 million investment in this county. This is more than just jobs," said Rep. Justin Bamberg, D-Bamberg.
"This is an investment in hope. We live in a part of the state where hope can be fleeting sometimes," he said.
He said he supports the industry. "We want to see you thrive, grow, build and, quite frankly, I want to see you make as much money as you can make so you can grow even more," he said.
