It took only 30 minutes for evidence to back-up David Jeary’s belief that Perth was ready and willing to embrace a second Lexus dealership.
The luxury car brand opened in Myaree on Monday morning and by 8.30am had locked away a sale to a man thrilled to take home a badge of honour along with his new SUV.
“Someone who lives locally said that they were waiting for us to open, and they came in pretty early and wanted to be the first sale,” Mr Jeary, the Lexus of Perth managing director, said.
“They bought a plug-in hybrid RX.”
Its that ‘close-to-home’ market that Lexus has its eyes on in opening Myaree, with luxury brand representation in the area relatively limited. Audi is also tipped to open in Melville next year.
