WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - Authorities have arrested a man in connection with an arson investigation in Stonefort, Illinois.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, detectives assisted the Illinois State Fire Marshal in investigating a suspicious fire at a house on Poplar Street on October 8. Surveillance video captured Jeffrey A. Glover arriving at the victim’s home on a bicycle around 2 p.m.

The sheriff’s office said Glover walked around the property for about 5 minutes, left, then returned 6 minutes later carrying a backpack.

At around 2:15 p.m., Glover reportedly disabled one of the cameras by cutting its power supply, and he was not seen again.
