Joe Biden has said he is undergoing new treatment for his aggressive form of prostate cancer . ‌

A spokesperson for the former US President said he was having radiation therapy and hormone treatment done "as part of a treatment plan". ‌

It's understood the treatment is expected to last for five weeks as it marks a new phase of his cancer treatment . The 46th President had already been taking a hormone medication pill and the radiation therapy was newly added to his treatment plan. ‌

As reported by the Mirror , Biden announced to the public in May that he had been battling an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had already metastasised to his bones.
