Title: Canada Post Resumes Limited Mail Delivery Amid Strikes

Mail and parcel delivery in Canada will resume on a limited basis next week as Canada Post workers initiate rotating strikes. The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) announced that these strikes will begin at 6 a.m. local time, effectively ending a nationwide strike that lasted over two weeks.

CUPW stated that local branches will be notified when it is their turn to participate in the rotating strikes. Canada Post confirmed that postal services will start to resume next week. However, the company warned that "uncertainty and instability" will continue due to the ongoing strikes, and all service guarantees will be suspended during this period.

The announcement from the union came after a meeting with Joël Lightbound, the federal minister responsible for Canada Post. During this meeting, CUPW expressed concerns regarding the government's recent changes to the mail carrier's business model.

CUPW represents approximately 55,000 postal workers. The union declared a nationwide strike on September 25, shortly after the government revealed plans to eliminate door-to-door mail delivery for nearly all Canadian households within the next decade.

As the rotating strikes begin, the impact on mail delivery services remains uncertain, with both the union and Canada Post urging patience from the public.
