MASSILLON, Ohio — Massillon took an early lead in Friday night’s matchup with Cornerstone Christian (TX) and never looked back en route to a 45-20 win .
Of the 310 yards the Tigers managed offensively 239 came on the ground. With starting running back Savior Owens sidelined, Anthony “Amp” McMullan Jr. and Christian Culler combined for 232 of those yards, as well as three touchdowns, on 34 carries.
Ja’Dyn Williams led Massillon with 11 tackles and recorded two sacks. The Massillon defense allowed just 80 rushing yards on the day, but the Warriors were able to find decent success with their quick passing game.
Massillon took a 24-7 lead into halftime. The Warriors scored on their first possession of the second half, but that 10-point difference was as close as they would get.
