WASHINGTON (LOOTPRESS) — Former President Joe Biden has entered a new phase of treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer first diagnosed in May, his office confirmed Saturday.

“As part of his treatment plan for prostate cancer, President Biden is currently undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment,” a spokesperson said in a statement.

According to a source familiar with his care, the radiation therapy is expected to continue for about five weeks. Biden, 82, had already been taking hormone medication in pill form prior to this phase of treatment.
