An “outraged” Leeds daughter has been left devastated after she was ordered to tear out a miniature garden she built on her mum’s grave.

Mother-of-two and retired NHS print worker Elaine Armer, 62, died from cancer three years ago in 2022. Due to her passion for gardening, her family buried her in Whinmoor Cemetery, as it is located next to a garden centre.

Daughter Megan, 32, and her family, decided to plant a colourful garden above her grave to pay tribute to the Seacroft mum. The memorial display includes a fence, a bird feeder, winder spinner, windchimes and fairy lights.

Megan, who works as a control executive, said: “I wanted to turn her grave into a miniature version of the garden she loved so much and I think myself and my family have achieved that. Her grave looks beautiful
