Dealt six state-ranked opponents within the first seven weeks of the season, the Celina football team passed another key test on Friday versus No. 6 Sulphur Springs.

The reigning Class 4A Division I champions took over sole possession of first place in the district as a result, while Frisco Panther Creek remains one game back at 2-1 following a dominant performance of its own.
