More than 120 Rotarians, family and friends from Rotary District 5240 Zone 9 gathered for a heartwarming Potluck BBQ on Sept. 24 in Buellton at River View Park, hosted by the Lompoc Rotary Club .

The festive afternoon featured BBQ chicken and tri-tip, a potluck of sides and desserts, and games like cornhole and horseshoes, all seasoned with Rotary camaraderie.

Highlights included a lively salsa contest, with Bobby Brugnone (Solvang Rotary) taking first, Frank Smithson (Solvang) second, and Fred Bittle (Lompoc) third, earning trophies and bragging rights.

Attendees received party favors — flower seeds, spice rubs and rubber duckies — donated by The Lompoc Company.

Also in attendance celebrating the spirit of service was District Governor Mike Dutra with his wife Cindy.
