Clear skies and windy conditions are expected through Monday afternoon with rain developing Monday night into Tuesday, with a few lingering showers on Wednesday morning.

Increasing winds, partly cloudy skies, and warmer temperatures will follow on Thursday through Friday.

A pattern of moderate to fresh (13 to 24 mph) and at times gusty Santa Lucia (northeasterly) winds will develop during the night and morning, shifting out of the northwest and increasing to fresh to strong (19 to 31 mph) levels through Monday afternoon.

Afternoon highs will reach the high to low 80s in the inland valleys (Santa Ynez) and low to mid-70s in the coastal valleys (Santa Maria and Lompoc). Beaches will remain cooler, ranging from the mid- to upper 60s.
