DALLAS — OU football quarterback John Mateer is available to play Saturday vs. Texas , according to the pregame SEC availability report.

Mateer, who was listed as probable Friday and Thursday and questionable on Wednesday , is recovering from surgery on a broken bone in his right (throwing) hand that took place 17 days ago.

Before the injury, Mateer was playing like one of the best quarterbacks in the country and was the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

Wide receiver Keontzez Lewis , who was stretchered off the field during last week's game against Kent State, is listed as a gametime decision.
