MADISON, (WKOW) — Prospective homeowners gathered at The Atrium at the Village on Park for a workshop aimed at first-time buyers.
The free event, held on Saturday, was organized by the City of Madison’s Community Development Division in partnership with local organizations. The workshop, called "Opening the Door to Homeownership," focused on educating attendees on the home-buying process.
It covered budgeting, credit improvement, mortgage applications, and down payment assistance programs.
“It’s called Opening the Door to Homeownership. It’s for new home buyers,” said Robert Horne, a financial educator with Consumer Credit Counseling Services from Sheboygan.
