MADISON, Wis. — A fire broke out at a vacant house on the 100 block of North Butler Street Friday night, according to the Madison Fire Department.
Dane County Communication Center received multiple 911 calls at around 11 p.m. as firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming through the roof.
Firefighters tackled the main fire along the roofline while Ladder 1 used its aerial ladder for an overhead attack.
First responders were also able to protect neighboring homes.
No victims were found after thorough searches of the affected properties. Firefighters stayed to ensure the fire was fully out.
The Madison Fire Department's Investigation Team is looking into the cause of the fire.
