LELAND, Miss. — Six people have now died following a shooting in Leland early Friday morning, according to the Washington County Coroner’s Office.

Washington County Coroner LaQuesha Watkins said her office was notified by the Leland Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office about the shooting around 12:38 a.m. Friday.

When Watkins arrived at the scene, she said she found four people unresponsive and showing no signs of life. The four victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

They have been identified as: Oreshama Johnson, 41, of Leland Calvin Plant, 19, of Leland Shelbyona Powell, 25, of Leland Kaslyn Johnson, 18, of Leland

Later Friday morning, Watkins said her office was notified of two additional deaths connected to the incident.
