The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood warning at 4:18 p.m. on Saturday valid from Sunday noon until Monday 8 p.m. for Suffolk County.
The weather service adds, "1 1/2 to 2 1/2 ft of inundation above ground level possible in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline for the for the Sunday afternoon, Sunday Night and Monday afternoon high tide cycles."
The weather service states, "Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth."
