AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) - Auburn University will retire Cam Newton’s No. 2 jersey this Saturday during a ceremony at Jordan-Hare Stadium, permanently enshrining the number alongside other Auburn legends.
The 2010 consensus All-American quarterback will see his jersey retired in front of a sold-out crowd, joining the ranks of Pat Sullivan (No. 7), Bo Jackson (No. 34), and Terry Beasley. The number 2 will never be worn again in Auburn football history.
