The annual cost of attending Stevens Institute of Technology tops $65,000 a year once tuition and mandatory fees are added in, making it one of the most expensive colleges in New Jersey.
But some of the school’s students may not have to pay any tuition at all starting next year.
The private university in Hoboken says it is launching the “Stevens Investment” program to offer free tuition for students from families that earn $75,000 or less a year.
The program, which will be offered to incoming students, won’t be open to transfer students or students without U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, university officials said.
