CLAYTON, New York (WWNY) - Small boats took center stage at the Antique Boat Museum Saturday, with guests setting sail, and paddling along the St. Lawrence River.

“We have sailboats, paddleboats, we have visiting kayaks here today,” said Antique Boat Museum Executive Director Rebecca Hopfinger.

She told us the festival specifically highlighted un powered water craft. That means sails paddles, and oars only. There were no engines, but there was plenty of fire. a pair of smiths gave bronze casting demonstrations, showing how some key boat components are crafted.

“It’s really the celebration of the small craft,” said Hopfinger. “The non-powered boats that we are powering as the people on board.”
