Rain returns to the tiers with intermittent showers through the beginning of the week

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)- Rain will continue through the overnight but showers can become heavy at times. By sunrise, most of the showers should clear. Mostly sunny skies will remain for the first half of Sunday, with daytime highs around 66 degrees. Rain is expected, however, to return on Sunday evening and continues through the night. Showers linger on Monday and should clear by the evening. Temperatures will also be cooler on Monday, around 58 degrees. Rain totals from the several days of showers will be near an inch of accumulation. Mostly sunny skies, and seasonable temperatures return by Tuesday, and remain for the rest of the week.
