Horseheads, N.Y. (WETM) — The 17th 'I should've taken up friggin' golf tournament' was on Oct. 11 at the Soaring Eagles Golf Course.

The event had 28 teams, and all proceeds from it will go to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

The foundation has raised over a billion dollars in donations and gives the money back to help homeless veterans, first responders, and helps families of fallen first responders pay off their mortgages.

Kevin Sullivan, the event coordinator, says the foundation is great and gives back to local communities.

"We've got families in Binghamton that have benefitted from this organization," said Sullivan. "They're doing plenty for homeless vets and all kinds of first responders, paying off mortgages and loans and it's just a wonderful organization."
