GRAND FORKS – UND will celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day with a presentation by Anton Treuer at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at the Memorial Union Small Ballroom. Everyone is welcome.
Treuer, an author and professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University, has been invited as the guest speaker by the UND Indigenous Student Center.
The event is titled “Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day: Building a Bridge for Shared Understanding and Collective Action.”
The event will be live-streamed and available through the UND website, under “events,” and clicking on the link for Dr. Anton Treuer.
After Treuer’s talk, there will be a question-and-answer session, followed by a reception and book-signing.
