FLINT, MI- Fathers and their children put on their matching shirts as they walked through Mott Park and the neighborhood participating in the inaugural Dad Stroll in Flint.

The event was held on Saturday, October 11, at the Mott Park Clubhouse.

It was a beautiful fall day of trivia games, temporary tattoos, prizes and raffles.

Porsha Black of the Genesee County Health Department helped plan the Dad Stroll and explained what she hoped the fathers would take away from the event.

“This event today is all about celebrating fathers. We know how important men are and fathers are to the lives in the lives of their children,” she said. “We want to have this event today to kind of bring dads out, have them bring their children and be able to spend time with their children.
