Brendan Franke might ask for two entries in the Indiana football record book. After all, both kicks were good.

Franke's end-of-half, 58-yard field goal to hand No. 7 Indiana a 13-10 lead over No. 2 Oregon on Saturday matched an IU football record for longest field goal in program history. Two-time Big Ten kicker of the year Griffin Oakes originally set the record in a 2014 home game against Maryland.

But, thanks to Dan Lanning's icing timeout, Franke had to make the kick twice.

The first time, he finished despite the whistle and drilled from 58 yards. After Lanning got the timeout to let Franke — a Texas State transfer — think things over, Franke stepped up and hit from the same distance a second time, officially matching the record.
