On Saturday, 10,000 runners took off from Capitol Avenue in Hartford for the 32 nd edition of the Hartford Marathon.
Organizers say the sold-out races contributed to the largest event in 10 years with people participating in the marathon, half marathon and 5-K charity races.

“48 states are represented, which is pretty exciting,” said Hartford Marathon Foundation President Josh Miller. “Participants are coming down to our Capital City, they’re choosing to run, they’re going to have a great day.”
Marathon runners made their way through downtown Hartford and neighboring East Hartford, West Hartford and Windsor.
“As I progressed as a runner, it’s a super special race for me,” said Zack Spicer. He’s running in his fo
