Interim head coach Doug Meacham didn’t hide his frustration Saturday after Oklahoma State’s 39–17 loss to Houston at Boone Pickens Stadium.

The Cowboys came out strong on their opening drives, but a wave of mistakes and miscues quickly derailed any momentum, sending OSU to another defeat.

Meacham said the Cowboys began the game executing well and moving the ball, only for self-inflicted errors to unravel their early rhythm.

“We come out hitting some plays, moving the ball … and then it’s a collection of things — bad snap, penalty, offsides, pass interference — and then it just kind of spirals,” he said.

Those mistakes, Meacham added, made it difficult for OSU to recover emotionally
