The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) recently sent a Notice of Violation to the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) following the damage to the natural state of the Adirondack Park on Whiteface Mountain for the recently held WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series. The Olympic Authority usually opens Whiteface Mountain for downhill skiing in mid or late November or early December, and it recently announced that it has officially joined the Mountain Collective Pass lineup for the 2025–2026 season.
