JAMESTOWN — The University of Jamestown Jimmies Women's Volleyball fell in straight sets to the No. 13 ranked Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon at the Harold Newman Arena.

Head coach Jon Hegerle and his crew will be back at Harold Newman Arena on Oct. 16 for a matchup with Minot State. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Jimmies struggled early, hitting -.047. Early blocks by Caroline Puetz and Kyleigh Schopp earned the Jimmies points, but a stretch of attack errors allowed Minn. Duluth to pull away. A late ace from Ava Bertsch brought the score to 20-16, but the Bulldogs held on for the 25-19 win.

Set No. 2 was marked by 12 ties, the most of any set. The Jimmies defense was active, with blocks from Corbyn Menz, Addison Brooke, Puetz and Schopp to help the Jimmies exte
