MANHATTAN — In a Kansas State football season in which it has felt like everything has gone wrong for the Wildcats, they finally had a day when a lot went right.

Kansas State bounced back for a 41-28 win over TCU on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The Wildcats (3-4, 2-2 Big 12) got the win behind a pair of defensive touchdowns and two scoring connections between Avery Johnson and Garrett Oakley. After blowing a two-touchdown lead at Baylor last week , the Wildcats kept their foot on the pedal to hand the Horned Frogs (4-2, 1-2 Big 12) their second loss.

K-State will now head into an open week to prepare for a road trip to rival Kansas on Oct. 25. The Wildcats will host Texas Tech on Nov. 1, before another open date.
