Shadow attorney general Julian Leeser has called on the Albanese government to provide full transparency over the recent return of ISIS brides to Australia.

Mr Leeser told Sky News Sunday Agenda the government needed to give clarity on where the individuals have been living and whether they will face criminal charges.

The comments come after two Australian women and four children returned from Syria on September 26.

Despite undergoing security checks and DNA testing by Australian authorities, no public charges have been laid against the returning cohort.

Sky News recently revealed that while at least six ISIS brides have returned to Australia, only one individual has been charged with travelling to a declared zone since 2019.
