A father and son have been rushed to hospital after they were allegedly set upon and stabbed by a group of five teenagers in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called following reports of a brawl near Melbourne’s Crown Casino, at about 1.50am on Sunday.
Police investigators were told the two men were walking along Yarra Promenade when a group of youths passed by and bumped into one of their group.
“A short verbal interaction occurred before the teens set upon the pair,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“The victims, aged 23 and 47, were both physically assaulted and stabbed.”
The alleged offenders were seen running from the scene but were all arrested by responding police.
