SPARTANBURG, S.C. — In a big understatement, Norfolk State will be looking for a reset entering Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play.
First-year coach Michael Vick’s Spartans fell to 1-6 entering their bye week with a 31-14 loss Saturday at previously winless Wofford. They have lost five games in a row since narrowly beating Division II Virginia State and will close the season by facing five MEAC foes.
Wofford (1-5) had suffered four losses by a touchdown or less, the only exception being a defeat at higher-level Virginia Tech. But the Terriers had no such problem Saturday.
