A 26-year-old man who police say is prohibited from possessing firearms is wanted for an armed robbery in a downtown Toronto park Friday morning.
Toronto Police said they are also asking the public for help to identify a second suspect involved in the robbery.
Police said officers responded to a call for a robbery at approximately 7:30 a.m. in the Queen St. W. and Beverley St. area.
Cops allege two men approached the victim in a park. One man pulled out a firearm while the other produced a knife and demanded the victim’s wallet.
The robbers stole cash and a backpack containing the victim’s personal belongings, police said. They then fled westbound on Grange Ave. on bicycles.
Investigators have since identified one suspect.
