STATE COLLEGE – Penn State quarterback Drew Allar will miss the rest of the season after suffering an injury late in the fourth quarter of a 22-21 loss to Northwestern Saturday at Beaver Stadium .
Allar scrambled and picked up 1 yard on third-and-4 from the Nittany Lions’ 31. He immediately grabbed his left ankle and was later carted off the field.
“Drew will be done for the year,” Penn State coach James Franklin said right after he received the OK from Allar’s family to relay the news. “I do not release that information until I clear it with the kid and the family. I talked to Drew and had not heard back from the family before I came in here.”
