Alabama State football had a chance to win from the 2-yard line with one second left on the clock and saw a pass to Jamarie Hostzclaw fall one yard one short of the endzone. Alabama State 's 38-34 loss to Jackson State isn't going to be an easy loss to get over, even with an open week looming.

Despite the loss, Alabama State still had a few players that gave the Hornets a chance to win the game late in the fourth quarter.
