Red Raiders quarterback Behren Morton left the Texas Tech football home game against Kansas in the second quarter on Saturday, Oct. 11, a series after he was sacked with the pass rusher landing on his lower leg.
Redshirt freshman Will Hammond replaced Morton.
Defensive end Leroy Harris III sacked Morton on a third down from the Kansas 19-yard line at 11:23 before halftime. Morton's ankle twisted underneath Harris' weight. Morton got up to his knees and angrily pounded his hand into the Jones AT&T Stadium turf several times, feeling the pain.
