The Hermits had won 35 straight games against Cape-Atlantic League American Division opponents. Their last non-victory was a 2-2 tie against Vineland on Oct. 11, 2022.

Matt Mateja scored in the first half for St. Augustine (11-1-1 overall, 10-0-1 CAL American), which has already clinched the division title for the third year in a row.
