Calli Boudreaux laid her claim to a vacant seat on the Baton Rouge City Court bench, according to unofficial results from Saturday’s municipal primary.
With all precincts reporting, Boudreaux had 64% of the vote, outdistancing opponent Brenden Craig. Both candidates were listed as Republicans in the nonpartisan race.
Boudreaux replaces Carson Marcantel, who left earlier this year after being elected to the 19th Judicial District Court bench.
The City Court has five judges. Boudreaux and Craig ran in Division A, part of a voting subdistrict that primarily covers the southern and eastern portions of the city.
Boudreaux's win makes the City Court a bench with all women judges.
Boudreaux will finish the final five years of Marcantel's term, which ends Dec. 31, 2030.
