AFFTON, Mo. (First Alert 4) - On Saturday, cleanup efforts were ongoing at the site of a train derailment in south St. Louis County following Friday’s incident that sent four train cars off the tracks .

BNSF Railway tells First Alert 4 on Saturday, it’s still investigating the cause of the derailment, which occurred near the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Weber Road in Affton. The incident prompted a hazmat response, although no hazardous chemicals were involved in the derailed cars.

Don Holstein, who has lived near the train tracks for 60 years, said the derailment created an earthquake-like sensation in his home.
