COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — College Park marked Oct. 11th as "Jeffrey Williams Day," honoring Atlanta rapper Young Thug on Saturday.
Williams received the recognition during the 9th Annual Citywide Festival, celebrating his impact and roots in the community.
Mayor and Councilmember Roderick Gay hosted the event, which took place Oct. 11th at Phillips Park, and promotes unity among residents, artists, local businesses, and families with a full day of music, culture, and community engagement.
The star-studded event featured performances by Howard Hewett, Young Dro, Brick Band, and a line dance showcase by the viral 5-year-old Ms. Shirley.
Over 200 vendors offering food, crafts, goods, and services were in attendance to reflect the city's entrepreneurial spirit.
