Terrance Shepler, who teaches AP U.S. History, Civics and Media, guided his students as they produced a series of museum-quality videos chronicling the tavern’s past and created digital infographics explaining artifacts unearthed from the site. The work involved students from several of Shepler’s classes: AP U.S. History and Civics students researched and analyzed primary sources, while Media students brought those stories to life through film editing and production.
The partnership began last spring when the Friends of Clarks Ferry Tavern contacted Shepler after learning about a 10-year anniversary video his students had made for the Perry County Chamber of Commerce.
