Erin Musil pushed through tears as she reflected on her 18-year-old son Logan Musil whose body was found near Veterans Lake in Sulphur Wednesday.

“It's heartbreaking and devastating. For something like this to happen, you don't expect that,” said Erin.

Logan was a Southwestern Oklahoma State University student who had been missing for a month.

What happened to Logan Musil?

Erin said she called the school and they conducted a welfare check telling her he was not in his room.

She said school officials told her Logan had not attended class since September 8 and had not used his meal plan at school since about September 10.

Erin said she spoke with Logan on September 11 when he asked her for a copy of his birth certificate for his new job he would be starting at McDonalds.
