More than 50 Oklahoma City police officers put in work towards building a house in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity once again in their sixth year of volunteering with the organization.

Police spent the morning lifting, hammering and framing the house at Cornerstone Creek, Central Oklahoma Habitat's largest and most affordable housing community where 35 families currently live.

OCPD Captain Michelle Henderson expressed her gratitude for her department's presence and attendance at the non-profit's event.

"We're very excited to be a part of providing a home for people in the community who work hard and deserve it," Captain Henderson said.
