SALT LAKE CITY — Utah football quarterback Devon Dampier ensured the Utes got six on their first drive, scrambling 12 yards for the first score of the game.
The play gave Dampier his third rushing TD of the season.
The first series was a Utah classic. 15 plays, 75 yards, and over five minutes taken off the clock.
The Utes faced three third downs, moving the chains on each before eventually coming to a 4th & 2 in the red zone.
Fighting against the elements in an already important conference game, opening the game with a confidence-building scoring drive was exactly what the doctor ordered for Utah.
