NEW DELHI :Spinner Kuldeep Yadav hollowed out the West Indies middle order and reduced the visitors to 217-8 in reply to India's first innings total of 518-5 declared on day three of the second and final test between the sides on Sunday.

Left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep claimed 4-72 to leave West Indies still 301 runs behind at the lunch break at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Khary Pierre and Anderson Phillip were both on 19, having forged a stubborn little partnership of 42 runs.

When West Indies resumed on 140-4, the onus was on Shai Hope (36) to lead the tourists' fightback but after 30 minutes of lull, Kuldeep sparked a collapse.
