ALBANY – Senator James Skoufis voiced his displeasure with Governor Kathy Hochul after she vetoed a pair of his bills this week.

Hochul shot down Skoufis’s bill seeking to increase transparency when it comes to grocery delivery apps such as Instacart and Uber. The legislation would have required that food retailers and third-party delivery platforms clearly and conspicuously provide a pricing policy that discloses whether the online price of products is the same as the store price, or not.

“The Governor took the side of contribution-rich delivery apps instead of New Yorkers struggling to afford their groceries,” said Skoufis (D, Orange County). “Shame on her.”
