Amy Poehler made her return to Saturday Night Live this weekend, taking on solo hosting duties for just her second time (she has also co-hosted with Tina Fey twice). Poehler, who was on the sketch comedy show for seven years before leaving in 2008, hosted with musical guest Role Model for the second episode of the 51st season.

For the cold open, Poehler took on the role of Attorney General Pam Bondi as she testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee, played by Mikey Day, James Austin Johnson, Andrew Dismukes, Ashley Padilla, Jeremy Culhane and Tommy Brennan. Poehler's Bondi avoids answering the majority of the questions, instead attempting to roast the committee.

At one point, when Bondi said she couldn't answer a question about ICE, a special guest made an appearance as Fey emerged as Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.

Next weekend (October 18), pop star Sabrina Carpenter will host and perform as the musical act.
